Will the artificial iris look natural?

Yes, patients report it's hard to tell which eye is artificial after healing. The HumanOptics CustomFlex is hand-painted by trained artists in Germany. Each iris is unique to the patient.

Who is a candidate?

Anyone with significant iris loss, congenital aniridia, traumatic iris damage, surgical iris defects, albinism with severe photophobia. We screen with anterior segment OCT and detailed ocular history.

How long does the prosthesis last?

It's permanent and stable. There's no replacement schedule. Long-term studies show good color retention and structural integrity over 10+ years.

How does the cost in Cairo compare with Europe?

The HumanOptics device costs roughly the same anywhere in the world (it's imported from Germany either way). Surgical and clinic costs in Cairo are 50-70% lower than equivalent centers in the UK or Germany, bringing the total cost down significantly.
